The Denver Museum of Nature and Science were looking to expand their existing programming facilities and develop new collection facilities to relieve overcrowded conditions in their existing building.  Before embarking on a major design and construction project they needed to have a much clearer understanding of their collection requirements.  WBA were retained to undertake a detailed assessment of collection facility requirements.

Working closely with Museum staff WeatherstonBruer undertook a detailed collection assessment and established collection facility and equipment requirements for the Museum’s collections.  During the design of a new addition for the Museum WBA worked closely with Ewing Cole and Klipp Architects, assisting in the detailed design of the facilities.  WBA then provided design, specification and tender review services for the collection equipment.  The project began construction in the fall of 2011 and WBA provided ongoing site review
